What is an automatic watch winder ?
Watch winder is a device with an electrical motor which will automatically wind your watch when you are not wearing it. It will maintain your watch in working condition so that it is ready for use at any moment. On top of that, the watch winder provides a uniform distribution of oil inside the watch. That is, your watch movement will always stay oiled even if you do not wear it for a long time.
How will a watch winder protect my watch?
Our winders use a gentle rotation method that prevents overwinding, ensuring your watch is safely maintained without risking damage to its mechanism. The auto watch winder is designed to carefully match the natural movement of a watch as it is worn, which helps maintain the mechanical integrity of the timepiece. By using controlled rotations, the winder avoids stressing the watch's internal components, thereby reducing wear and extending its lifespan. This makes an auto watch winder a safe and effective tool for preserving the functionality and accuracy of your valuable automatic watches. A watch winder that rotates constantly - as many do - is not good for a watch, but our watch winders are engineered to avoid this issue, providing optimal care for your timepiece.
Will my watch strap circumference be suitable for a DUKWIN watch winder ?
Our watch cushions generally fit bracelet or wrist diameters ranging from 35mm to 65mm. As a guide, we would say that approx. 85% of our customers use the watch cuff/holder, but gentlemen with slightly smaller than average wrist sizes or the majority of ladies may find the soft pillow more suitable. However, if you wish to make changes, please contact us via email and we will send you a watch pillow that suits you for free.
How many turns per day (TPD) are required for my watch using watch winders?
The necessary TPD varies greatly depending on the make and model of your watch. To get specific recommendations that are right for your watch, see Turns per Day. A watch turner is designed to accommodate various settings to match these recommendations, ensuring your watch maintains accurate time without overwinding. Properly setting the TPD on your watch turner not only optimizes the watch's performance but also enhances its longevity by ensuring that all mechanical movements are precisely tuned according to the manufacturer’s specifications.

Can my watch winder be mounted on a wall?
No, our watch winder is designed for tabletop/flat surface use only and is not intended or safe for wall mounting.
It does not include built‑in mounting holes, fixtures, or structural support for vertical installation. Securing it to a wall may cause instability, damage to the unit, or risk of falling. For safe and proper performance, please place it on a flat, stable, horizontal surface.
